Whispering Pines South is our vacation rental property situated in the lovely residential neighborhood of Hudson, Florida, less than a half-hour’s drive from Tampa International Air port. It offers an ideal winter get-away for Snow Birds looking for an escape from the harsh winter season.
About the florida house
Our home is a spacious, three-bedroom, ranch style bungalow, with a full kitchen, two bathrooms; one en-suite, and a beautiful recreation room overlooking the privately enclosed patio, hot tub, and pool area. A gas BBQ is available for year round outdoor cooking. An automobile can be made available by prior arrangement.
This comfortable, fully-furnished vacation home can accommodate large family gatherings, and has ample driveway parking. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and conveniently located to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and other facilities. It is an easy drive to Hudson’s local beach, and visitors can also use this attractive property as a base for exploring all of the many wonderful attractions that the Tampa Bay – St. Petersburg – Clearwater area of Florida’s magnificent Gulf coast has to offer.
Local Destinations
Among the most popular local destinations easily accessible by car are Busch Gardens, downtown Tampa, and historic Ybor City, Florida’s oldest Cuban settlement, and the beautiful beaches and shoreline locales of Clearwater and St Petes. Deep-sea fishing expeditions can be arranged through the local marina. It is even possible to make a one-day trip to Disney World in Orlando from our property, or a “spring training” visit to check out the Toronto Blue Jays at nearby Dunedin!
A favorite day-trip of the Inn Keepers is Plant City just east of Tampa, internationally renowned as the strawberry capital of the world. There one can enjoy a delicious strawberry shortcake and buy a large bag of juicy sweet oranges for just a few dollars for home-made, freshly-squeezed Florida-style juice! Plant City also hosts an annual Strawberry Festival at the end of February, which attracts top performers from the worlds of pop and country-and-western music, including Tom Jones, Leanne Rimes, Travis Tritt, and the Charlie Daniels Band.
